Hoooray!! All the rest of my parts came today courtesy of angela.com. Great site and about the best prices going. I got the 65 American Vintage Jazzmaster pickup set. They even included a lovely wiring diagram. What they did NOT include is anything telling which pickup is which. I have red dot and blue dot. One may assume red dot is bridge aka hot and blue dot would be neck aka cool but then i’d probably be wrong and I have no desire to wire this beast twice.
Also, dig the Fender vintage parts packages. They are awesome.
Also, 4 feet of waxed cloth red wire and some premium orange drop capacitors. I got a .47 and a .22. Now I see the diagram calling for a 1uf?!? I’ll try the .47 first and see if that and the 1 meg audio taper pot I am going to use for the tone control give me the range of sweet sounds I am looking for.
I also shimmed the neck and lemon oiled the rosewood today. Progress!
